Chris was appointed Interim Chairman on 15 October 2009.
Chris was Senior Non Executive Director at the North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust, where he was Chair of the patient Safety and Quality Committee, chair of the Remuneration Committee, and member of the Finance Committee. He has 27 years experience in the private sector gained in high profile customer-facing businesses. He is an experienced leader with significant board level experience in private companies and the NHS. He has expertise in performance management, change management, turnaround and strategic review. |

Geoff was appointed a Non Executive Director on 1 August 2008.
Geoffrey was UK & Ireland Chief Operating Officer for telecommunications equipment company Avaya, which he had divested from their former parent company Lucent. He was then CEO of UK software company Quantiv from 2002-2004, and their Chairman from 2004-5. From 2004-6 Geoffrey also led two interim assignments managing the turnaround of a software business and an acquisition of a financial services company before becoming Managing Director, Europe, of US IT company ShoreTel. He left ShoreTel shortly after their flotation on NASDAQ in late 2007. Geoffrey has specific experience in business transformation, marketing, strategic partnerships, and the effective use of technology as a strategic asset. |

Chris was an interim Non Executive Director from November 2009 and became substantive on 15 July 2010.
Chris transferred to the Trust following two years working with the Board of NHS East Berks (PCT) where he was a Non Executive Director involved in the commissioning activities and patient experience matter. Originally an industrial relations specialist, he followed a career in HR and sat on the board of a major pharmaceutical company for 20 years. Now semi-retired he still pursues his interest in employee communications and engagement, the leadership and performance of senior teams and handling significant change. |

Lorna was interim Non Executive Director and Deputy Chair from November 2009 and became substantive on 10 February 2011.
Lorna retired from Berkshire Healthcare NHSFT at the end of November 2009 having been Chair of the organisation since 2001. During that time she oversaw the successful Foundation Trust application and the modernisation of clinical services culminating in the award of 'excellent' for clinical quality in 2007,2008 and 2009. From 2003 to 2005 Berkshire Healthcare managed a successful financial turnaround. Prior to her appointment with Berkshire Healthcare, Lorna was Headteacher of The Holt School in Wokingham from 1989 to 2001. Lorna was also Chair of the Berkshire Secondary Heads' Association from 1994 to 2001 and a trainer and assessor for the National Professional Qualification for Headteachers from 1999 to 2005. These experiences provided Lorna with many leadership opportunities including working with Governors and managing a staff of over 100 during a period of extensive change in educational management. |

John Grosvenor is a Chartered Accountant who has had a wide ranging international career in the professional services sector, recently retiring as a senior partner in PricewaterhouseCoopers. John worked in a number of roles in London, The Netherlands, and New York and in Asia. He has worked for a variety of major clients and performed several management roles in PricewaterhouseCoopers, including Head of Global Finance. John brings a wealth of experience and in particular extensive experience of financial planning, strategic reviews, performance management, cost control and audit committees. |

Ian was appointed a Non Executive Director on 6 September 2010 Ian is a Chartered Accountant and spent 29 years with ICI in Executive finance roles both in the UK and abroad. His roles there included that of Corporate Treasurer, the Global Finance Director of operating divisions and Group Vice President responsible for Finance Excellence. More recently (2007-09) he was the Finance Director of a UK Government owned company, the Forensic Science Service, where he had Board responsibility for a wide range of corporate support services. Ian has also extensive knowledge and practical experience in People Development, Leading through Change and the exercise of sound Corporate Governance. |
Dr Helen Crawley Non Executive Director |
Helen was appointed a Non Executive Director on 10 February 2011 Helen is currently a GP and part time partner at Twyford Surgery, a position she has held since 1990. She has been a GP trainer since 1996 and has taken a number of roles in the selection, training and approval of GPs including programme director for the Windsor Vocational Training Scheme. Helen holds contracts with Oxford Medical School, teaching students and organising a group of GP tutors. She has taught nurses and pharmacists in several settings including as a visiting lecturer on the non medical prescribing course at the University of Reading. She has also worked as a Quality & Outcomes Framework Assessor and 'Time for Improving Patient Services' Co-ordinator on behalf of Berkshire West PCT. Helen has written numerous articles on clinical topics and practice management, and is a columnist for"'Real People" and the Ramblers Association "Walk" Magazine. |
