Introduction
As physiotherapists, we work with people to:
- Promote their own health and well being
- Help restore their movement and function to as near normal as possible when this has been affected by injury, illness or by developmental or other disability (Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, 2007)

- ITU Surgery
- Paediatrics
- Obstetrics
- Neo-natal Unit
- Gynaecology
- Plastics
- ENT
- Coronary Care Unit
- Eden Ward
- Medical Assessment Units
- Rheumatology
This includes providing physiotherapy services for patients referred for conditions within:
- Women’s and Men’s Health
- Orthopaedics
- Rheumatology
- Hands and Plastics
- Neurology
- Amputees
- Musculoskeletal (such as backs and necks)
- Paediatrics
- Balance
- Facial Palsy
Referrals for outpatient services must be made via the consultant or GP.
The physiotherapy service does not accept self-referrals.
