Service Objectives

The Parapet Breast Service aims to:

• In accordance with clinical governance, provide high quality, patient centred, evidence based breast service, for residents of East Berkshire, to facilitate the best possible experience and outcome of care
• To integrate all aspects of the breast screening and symptomatic service from referral to discharge ensuring optimal clinical decision making by the MDT throughout the patients pathway
• To deliver care that conforms to National, Network, local or Professional guidelines
• To ensure that care is delivered in accordance with National waiting times targets for referral, diagnosis and first treatment
• To ensure that NHS Breast Screening Programme is delivered in accordance with national guidance and targets and standards are met
• To facilitate user involvement in the design and delivery of the service
