Please only contact us if you are a member of the press. Non-press enquiries should be directed to the appropriate department.

Condition checks

We have a duty to protect patient confidentiality. We can only give out a condition check for a patient if you can provide us with the name of the patient in order to verify and provide the information. Condition checks will not provide detailed information about a patient – checks will only verify if a patient is critical, serious, stable or comfortable.

In any criminal matter we will refer requests for condition checks to the appropriate police force.

Filming and photography on site

All requests for filming on any of our hospital sites must be made in advance through the press and communications department.

Please do not arrive on any of the hospital sites without permission. If you do so, you may be asked to leave by Trust security.

If permission to film on one of our sites is given a representative from the press and communications team or another member of hospital staff will usually accompany you whilst you are filming.

• Please do not film or photograph patients who have not given their written consent
• Please obtain verbal consent from staff before filming or photographing them
• Please do not film or photograph, in a way that will identity them, vehicle registration plates, patient records or any patient identifiable information
• Please respect the wishes and requests of any patients or staff that you are filming with
• Please remember the patient’s care and needs must come first.
