How inclusive are NHS services in Berkshire?

Tell us how Berkshire's NHS services measure up on equality...

Heatherwood and Wexham Park Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has been working with other Trusts in Berkshire to plan for the new NHS wide Equality Delivery System (EDS) being introduced by the Department of Health from April 2012 onwards.

The Equality Delivery System requires NHS Trusts to engage with local people and set equality objectives that will help to improve access to services. Heatherwood and Wexham Park hospitals are starting this process through an online public survey which runs until 1 November 2011 - please take part and help us do better.

We want to hear about your experiences or those of people you know when using services at the Trust in terms of fairness, inclusive services, quality and accessibility.

The survey results will be reviewed by the new NHS Equality panel for Berkshire in December 2011. The panel is made up of representatives from the Berkshire voluntary and community sector and they will help us to determine next steps based on feedback from the surveys.
