Wexham Park Hospital – Car Access

Parking and Procedures | Parking Charges | Security | Disabled/Priority Parking | Motorcycle/Moped Parking

Wexham Park Hospital is located approximately 2 miles north of the Slough Town Centre on the corner of Wexham Street and Church Lane/Wexham Park Lane. With finite levels of parking and vehicle congestion in peak times, particularly between 10:30am – 12:30pm and 2:00pm - 4:00pm on weekdays, we ask that visitors to the hospital travel by public transport, on foot, by bicycle or motorcycle wherever possible.

The hospital is accessible from 4 vehicle entry points, two on Wexham Street (Gates 1 and 2) and one on both Church Lane (Gate 3) and Wexham Park Lane (Gate 4).

Regional access can be gained using either the M4 (Closest junctions: 5 and), the M25 (Closest junctions: 15 and 16) and the M40 (Closest junction: 2).

Patients/visitors are required to enter the designated public car parks through barriers situated near Gate 2 and Gate 4. Parking tickets are dispensed at the barrier and once taken will result in the barrier lifting automatically to allow entry. Please keep your ticket with you, as you’ll need it to pay at the pay station before returning to your car to leave.

You must visit a Pay Station to pay. Once your parking ticket is inserted into the machine the Pay Station will calculate the charge and on payment of the fee a validated ticket will be dispensed.
When you leave the car park, insert this exit ticket into the machine and the automatic barrier will be raised.

There are three pay-points available on site in the following locations:

Pay Station Location Payment Options (All machines give change)
Main Entrance
Situated outside under the glass canopy
Coins, Notes, Cards (Debit and Credit)
Accident and Emergency
Situated outside adjacent to A+E entrance
Coins and Notes Only
Maternity
Situated inside adjacent to Maternity entrance
Coins and Notes Only

Please note: A Fixed Penalty Notice may be issued to any vehicles parking on site if security staff believe that the vehicle is causing an obstruction, is parked inappropriately or in the wrong area, or is parked in a dangerous manner.

The Heatherwood and Wexham Park NHS Foundation Trust follows the Department of Health (2006) guidance on income generation. Revenue received from car parking pays for the security services and police within the Trust necessary for the protection of patients, visitors and staff.
