Heatherwood Hospital has 241 beds and offers a range of inpatient and outpatient services. The hospital also contains a dedicated, purpose-built day surgery unit and endoscopy suite.

Facilities include:

• A 12 bed Medical Assessment Unit and a 4 bed High Dependency/Coronary Care Unit, both of which provide support for acute general medicine
• A Minor Injuries Unit, with approximately 20,000 attendances per year
• A Children’s Centre
• An excellent Diagnostic Imaging Unit
• Physiotherapy and rehabilitation

Heatherwood Hospital is proud to host the Ascot Birthing Unit, a stand-alone midwifery-led birthing unit situated on Ward 7. This unit is available for prospective mothers who fall into the 'low risk' category. For more information please see the 'Maternity Services Heatherwod' pages under 'For Patients'.

Heatherwood offers a coin-operated wheelchair loan service. These wheelchairs, which can be collected from the porter's lodge between the restaurant and the chapel, cost £1 and will assist visitors and carers to transport less mobile patients around the site. The £1 fee is fully refundable on return of the wheelchair to the original collection point.
