Voluntary services co-ordinate and recruit volunteers to work within the Trust. They also:

As Voluntary Services Coordinator, I am responsible for recruiting, training and managing a core team of volunteers. Many of these volunteers provide regular support to patients on the wards, complementing the work of the nursing staff. I would like the team to be much larger and hope to encourage more people to get involved by promoting a greater range of opportunities and raising the profile of volunteering generally.

I also organise corporate volunteering projects, encouraging companies to pick up one day projects which will enhance the hospital environment.
