PALS - Patient Advice and Liaison Service

The Patient Advice and Liaison Service is here to:-

  • Advise and support patients, their families and carers
  • Provide information on NHS services
  • Listen to concerns, queries or suggestions
  • Provide help to sort out problems quickly on your behalf

Wexham Park Hospital has a PALS Officer who will be pleased to talk to you and try to give you the help you need.

Opening hours are:
Monday 9am - 5pm
Tuesday 9am - 8pm
Wednesday 9am - 6pm
Thursday 9am - 8pm
Friday 9am - 3.30pm

  • Outside of these hours just leave a message on the answerphone.
  • By post to the PALS Manager at Wexham Park Hospital, Slough, Berks SL2 4HL
  • By e-mail using the address pals@hwph-tr.nhs.uk
  • Self referral forms: Please complete the attached form to request the PALS Manager to contact you. Please leave completed forms at the main reception at Heatherwood Hospital, or in the box outside the PALS office at Wexham Park Hospital.

Appointments

Appointments can usually be arranged during PALS office hours, at Wexham Park Hospital.

Complaints

If you wish to make a complaint you are welcome to discuss the matter with the PALS Officer, who will advise you to write to:

A formal investigation will then be carried out and you will contacted by the Patient Relations Department.

Data Protection

The PALS Officer will record the information you provide on a confidential computerised database.

You have the right to request personal information not to be retained by the PALS or information not to be passed on to any other individual.

Whilst we will always accept your instructions on this matter, it may hamper our ability to address your concerns quickly.

The Trust will not send personal data outside the Trust via an email link.

It is at your personal discretion as to whether you send personal information to the Trust via an email link or fax.
