Heatherwood and Wexham Park Hospitals Charity was registered in 1995 and holds charitable monies for the Trusts various departments including: A&E; General Medicine; Children's Ward; Maternity; Special Care Baby Unit; Cancer; Surgery; Intensive Care and Breast Cancer Care.

The charity is governed by the Trust Board and managed by the Charitable Funds Committee, which is responsible for ensuring that donations made are spent in accordance with the Charities Commission and NHS regulations. Voluntary donations can really help the Trust to go the extra mile and purchase things like additional medical equipment, medical research, specialist training and make improvements to patient and staff facilities.

Success stories

Through donations to the charity...

• our paediatric department has been able to purchase much needed respiration monitors
• voice recorders were purchased by the speech and language department to assist stroke patients
• ITU have been able to purchase hand held monitors, which are essential for ventilated patient transfer
• One couple even took part in a Norway to Sweden Husky Challenge, raising more than £1,160 for the Special Care Baby Unit - click here to read more
• One mum ran a half marathon after her daughter was treated in our children’s ward, raising £1388
• The family of one of our patients that had been cared for on Eden Ward created a JustGiving webpage so that donations could be made directly to the ward, raising a fantastic £1675

How can I help?

Making even the smallest donation can really go a long way. You can contribute in a number of ways...

• Cash or cheque in person at the cash office or directly to the ward or department
• Cheque by post made payable to Heatherwood and Wexham Park Hospitals Charity - please indicate that the cheque is a donation to the Trust and specify what you would like it to go towards (please do not send cash by post)
• Online by visiting our JustGiving website
• Text - you can make a general donation to the Charity simply by texting HWPH33 to 70070 or by visiting the JustGiving website. The cost of the message is free and can be gift aided: JustGiving website
• Bank transfer - please speak to the Charitable Funds Manager for more details

Gift Aid

If you are a UK taxpayer, we can reclaim the tax on your donation which means your donation is worth more. The charity is able to add 25% to your donation if you are a UK taxpayer.
